Auto News Update: December 2, 2019Around 42 senior citizens had their cars inspected recently for winter readiness by high school seniors. The kids are students at Lincoln-Way Central and are studying auto mechanics. For the second year in a row, the high school has partnered with the Village of New Lenox and its Safe Communities America Coalition, the New Lenox NAPA, and Country Financial to provide free vehicle inspections to help seniors prepare for winter. Around 248 vehicles were towed early Sunday morning as the Chicago yearly winter parking ban went into effect.
